about me
I’m a freelance graphic designer who lives and works in Racine, Wisconsin with my beautiful wife and two crazy-loving dogs. Racine sits halfway between Milwaukee and Chicago. I was born in Wisconsin but for the majority of my years I lived in gorgeous and sunny Phoenix, Arizona so that’s the place I call home.
I graduated in 2008 with a degree in Graphic Technologies but have been involved in art all my life. I actually started my college education by studying to be a high school choir teacher. Something about teaching music didn’t quite grab me so here I am as a designer!
I love music and can’t get enough of it. I am a practicing musician, teaching myself most of what I know on piano, guitar, and drums. I love the songwriting and recording process but there’s something magical about performing. I’m very partial to the independent punk/pop/rock music scene but also have a love for the sweeping soundscapes produced in movie scores.
I’m a gadget-and-technology freak. I love reading about technological advances as it relates to computers. I like the little gadgets that technology produces. I’m a Mac. I’m also a HUGE movie and video game lover. Starting with the NES, at some point I’ve owned every console gaming system. I someday hope to see every movie on AFI’s top 100 list.
Finally, I’m also a budding clothing designer. Originally slated for a summer 2009 release, this project has been put on the backburner as I focus on design clients. Eventually these t-shirt designs will fall under the guise of Lonely Tree Designs, screenprinted by yours truly.
